An autobiographical account of the author's life. At 17 she entered a catholic convent, and at 29 she left the convent, married and became a mother. One of her children later suffered a debilitating brain haemorrage. She tells the story of these events, and later difficulties, including her response to the abuse she suffered at the convent.
