The author contends that the Church has got a clear mandate, based upon Jesus' teaching, that provides clear guidelines which are still valid today. But Jesus' message is uncomfortable; it calls for repentance, for a reassessment of priorities, for a willingness to change and for an openness to the Holy Spirit. The book is a stirring call to return to biblical standards and teaching. It affirms God's continuing sovereignty and calls for a deeper commitment from every minister and member within the Church.
